Slide it on the grating of the plate and allows to collecting drops of honey during moving of honey chambers filling with honey. Take off the drawer during hot store way to decrease honey’s level of humidity.
Slide it under the grating of the bottom board :
· Can be used as bottom board closed plate during the winter, if you make 5 evacuation holes of Ø 10 mm in the drawer to avoid retaining humidity in the beehive.
· Can be used for varroas screening. Natural death of varroa in automn must be less than one varroa by day.
· Can be used for all evaporation treatments on any paper towels, with acid or base (formic acid, flash treatment, Chapleau's method, ...)
To favour colony's brood development, you should close Full Ventilation Bottom Board on January 15th (indication for Franche-Comté, east part of France) with Plate Drawer (pierced of 5 evacuation holes of Ø 10 mm). The Drawer must be take off when you put the 2nd Honey Chamber.
